PCCA Community Art Gallery - CLOSED

What is a mosaic? It is a combination of diverse elements forming a whole. Join as we celebrate the diversity of how artists can take what they are seeing and bring it to a surface for everyone to see.

PROCESS:

February 6 - 21: submissions are open. 

February 22 - 23: Artists receive email if entry is approved.

February 24 - 25: Approved submissions can be dropped at the Catalyst Center at 508 N. Main Street, Perryville Missouri, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

June 29: Pick up artwork at 1:00PM or other arrangements can be emailed to us. 

Guidelines:

Artwork should be original.

Artwork is to be 2 dimensional. We will accept fibers, small flat woodworking pieces, and framed jewelry.

Artists may submit one piece of art.

no work should exceed 36” in any direction, including the frame.

Artwork should weigh less that 8 pounds.

Artwork is to be framed, apart from oils/acrylics that are painted over the edges of the canvas.

For safety reasons, any work normally under glass and exceeding 30 inches in either dimension   must be under plexi-glass only (except for pastels).

All artworks must be appropriately wired and suitable to be hung upon arrival of art. If artwork is poorly framed and wired, artwork will not be hung (ask if you have questions).

All artist who submits artwork must fill out the artwork form on our website or in-person.

 

SUBJECT MATTER: This collection is to represent artist of all backgrounds and ways of life. The subject matter should deliver a message that the public would want to engage with and feel relevant to them. Currently, we are not accepting artwork that shows the naked human body or sexualization of the body, has a political affiliation, or use of inappropriate gestures or language.   

 

Sales Policies

If artist does sell artwork, money must be given to PCCA and PCCA will send payment to the artist. Artwork pick-up can be scheduled through PCCA, but pick-up will be at the end of the current show. Perry County Creative Arts retains 10% of any artwork sold in any show or exhibition gallery. All raised money goes to operational costs of future events, gatherings, and the future home of PCCA.
